About Us
In October 2023, CATA launched its first Dinner Workshop, marking the launch of our mission to strengthen the nation, one community at a time, starting right here in Sarasota. We do this by providing tools and structure that empower participants to bridge political division and connect with neighbors across lines of ideological difference.
CATA’s unique format brings together individuals from across the political spectrum, inviting participants to grow their understanding of the underlying values and beliefs from which different points of view emerge, while rediscovering the value of listening to and learning from people who hold different perspectives. While the goal is connection, mutual appreciation, and respect, rather than consensus, it's not uncommon for consensus to be reached as well.
